Compensation

  • $100/ week stipend

  • Included housing for 20-22 weeks; or other agreed upon duration of Internship (within walking distance to the theater)

  • Complimentary tickets (9) to all 2024 Lakewood productions

Responsibilities

  • Ability to take and carry-out orders from Artistic & Executive Directors as well as the Technical Director

  • Communicate effectively with all other staff and collaborate on ideas in a helpful and constructive manner.

  • Load-in, set-up, operate, strike and organize/ store all set materials.

  • Perform minor repairs to set during rehearsals and productions, as well as equipment as needed.

  • Assist as needed with other projects associated with Lakewood during down weeks.

Requirements

  • Knowledge of some of the equipment, materials, practice, and tools used in theatrical lighting, sound, rigging, and scenic production.

  • Experience preferred in backstage work and building or currently carrying out course work in the area of technical theater or similar.

  • General understanding and appreciation for the performing arts in our community

  • Full range of physical mobility including walking, sitting, standing, stooping, climbing, carrying, reaching, and manual dexterity is required

  • This position requires availability for working shifts during nights and weekends
