JEFFREY is EUPHORIC

A bouyant feeling of health and well-being--okay, that may
be a stretch. Jeffrey is VERY HAPPY. The 2007 Season is
going well.

Jeffrey is GLAD that he learned his lines and survived our
opening production Clothes Encounters. Jeffrey was a vision
in purple chiffon and orange maribou feathers. He did
forget to remove his toupee at the proper time during one
performance but improvised his next entrance and no one was
the wiser.

Jeffrey REMEMBERS watching The Beverly Hillbillies in
black and white. Our production was in living color. As the
court reporter, Jeffrey was GUILTY of scene stealing in Sly
Fox. Jeffrey may have been ECSTATIC when All Shook Up
closed its run. The Elvis musical established a new
attendance record. The previous record of 2,767 was held
for more than ten years by The Sound of Music. More than
3,400 cheered and applauded our all-star cast It must have
been "like the old days" with people everywhere and cars
parked out the road to the Clubhouse. It was an exciting,
exhilarating two weeks!

Jeffrey was TEMPTED to steal the spotlight in The Christmas
Spirit. Instead he became part of the ensemble that offered
audiences the gift of a wonderful script beautifully acted.
I had never been in a play that was underscored with
music-- and it was magical. The haunting melody was the
score of the movie Meet Joe Black.

Jeffrey is a bit SAD. With the close of Nobody's Perfect,
the Season is two-thirds over. Jeffrey obserevd that it is
getting darker earlier. Time to order scripts and begin the
process that will culminate sometime in January with a
schedule for 2008.

Jeffrey is EXCITED (very, terribly, unabashedly) about the
second musical of the Season Crazy For You. He is almost
GIDDY. Lisa Neal and Joe LaCombe will star in the Gershwin
extravaganza opening August 16th. Jeffrey is RAVING about
the choreography of Nancy Noonan. He is DELIGHTED with his
tap dancers. He is THRILLED with the costumes. And he LOVES
the music. Who could ask for anything more!

Of course, Jeffrey is ANXIOUS to see how director Bobby
Keniston will present our penultimate production Jack, the
Ripper, Monster of Whitechapel. And Jeffrey is EAGER to
start rehearsals for Tom, Dick and Harry--the Ray Cooney
farce that will close our Season.

Jeffrey is PROUD of the improvements to the Theater. He has
painted the bright kelly green a softer moss green and new
floors have been installed in both bathrooms.

Jeffrey is PIQUED by the presence of chipmunks who are
peeking at him. The furry critters have always been
around--darting from pillar to tree, and occassionally
risking a mad dash from Theater to Inn. Familiarity has
bred a new generation that is braver and friendlier.
Chipmunks watch us rehearse--sitting on chair arms as they
munch on stale pizza. They raid the box office for bagels
and sandwiches. They scamper through the Cabaret Boxes.
They run through the lobby. And they sit on Jeffrey's
phone, his desk, and the back of his chair. It is not clear
if this is one chipmunk who loves Geshwin or if they are
working in shifts. One thing is certain, however: One of
these days, Jeffrey will forget to put the Oreos in the
microwave. They know this and they are patient.

As he carries his grilled-cheese sandwich upstairs to his
office, Jeffrey is PLEASED.
